Flowers
December 13, 2008 on 5:57 pm | In General Bits | 1 CommentChoosing flowers is mighty tricky. I need some flowers that say:
- Get well soon, hope it all goes alright
- I do genuinely care (because I do)
- I have thought about these flowers (because I am/will have/have done)
I don’t want to go over the top, but I do want to bring a smile to her face. Preferably a big, radiant one which cuts through hospital mug and sticks around awhile. I won’t be there to deliver them but I’d still like the reaction =)
There are so many flowers! ARRGH! Haven’t even got to thinking messages yet…

Firstly, make up your own bouquet, don’t just buy one or two bunches of flowers and then stick them together. Secondly, either go for A Few Unusual But Expensive Things, or go all out for cheap but huge bunch of the damn things by picking things with lots of foliage and general bulk, which look gorgeously effective in large numbers. Either is equally very pleasing.
Fewer people than you think will have bought her flowers, so smiles are almost guaranteed (I have no idea who you’re talking about, incidentally).
Enjoy choosing them. That’s probably tbe ebst advice I can give. Good luck! xxx
